Martin Rosenblatt

Martin Rosenblatt has twenty years experience advising commercial clients in a wide variety of litigated and transactional matters. For the first 12 years of his career, Martin practiced in New York  in several well respected firms specializing mainly in commercial litigation with a focus on director and shareholder matters, corporations and banking law, business fraud and general contract and property related disputes.

Between 1999 and 2001, Martin ran his own practice where he continued to specialize in commercial litigation but also acted as outside general counsel for a number of entrepreneurial companies in the recording, fashion and IT industries, advising on employment, intellectual property, tax and transactional matters.

Since relocating to Sydney in 2001 and prior to joining Somerset Ryckmans as a Senior Consultant, Martin was a Senior Associate at Abbott Tout, concentrating in commercial litigation with an emphasis on company and insolvency law and property related disputes. At Abbott Tout, Martin also handled insurance, construction, intellectual property and employment related litigations and acted for clients in a number of transactional matters including re-financings and asset sales.

Martin graduated cum laude from New York University in 1983 and earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Brooklyn Law School in 1987.
