Zoe Bojanac

Zoe joined Somerset Ryckmans as Special Counsel in May 2010.

Zoe’s areas of expertise include mediation and dispute resolution, commercial litigation, defamation, media law, social media law, retail lease disputes, commercial lease disputes, insurance, bankruptcy and insolvency, professional negligence, regulatory and disciplinary proceedings, tribunals and inquiries, pharmacy law and health law.

Zoe graduated with an LLB from Bond University in Queensland in 1994 and was admitted as a solicitor as of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1995. Zoe is also admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of Australia. Prior to joining Somerset Ryckmans, Zoe worked in the litigation departments of Landerer & Company and a number of Sydney’s top large firms. Zoe also spent a year as a senior litigation consultant at Gouldens in London.

Zoe has acted for a wide range of commercial and professional clients in a variety of litigation and dispute resolution processes, including mediations and expert determinations. Zoe also has extensive experience in a wide range of tribunals and inquiries, including the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), the Administrative Decisions Tribunal of New South Wales (ADT), the Consumer Trader Tenancy Tribunal (CTTT), the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) and the Pharmacy Council of New South Wales.

Zoe is a member of the Professional Conduct Committee of the Law Society of New South Wales, having been appointed in 2004. Zoe has also been appointed to the Licensing Committee of the Law Society of New South Wales from January 2012.

Zoe is appointed by the Governor as the Australian Lawyer member on the Pharmacy Council of New South Wales (formerly the Pharmacy Board of New South Wales), having been first appointed in 2006.

Zoe was the legal member on the South Eastern Sydney Area Health Service Research Ethics Committee at Prince of Wales Hospital from 1998 to 2001.

Zoe has also attained the prestigious level of Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).
